Performance Objectives:
As a Network Knowledge Engineer, you will be responsible for expanding RedSeal’s modeling of various vendor network devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls. RedSeal is at the forefront of cyber security and digital resilience, working with the world’s largest financial firms, retail, and technology companies as well as government agencies. In this role, you will:
• Research various network devices’ features affecting “access” and create a proposal for modeling such features in RedSeal. Examples are access lists, VRF, MPLS VPN, IPSec VPN, NAT, static routes, converged dynamic routing tables as well as high availability.
• Work closely with development engineers to implement the proposed modeling of the network device as a plugin that can be loaded into RedSeal. As such, you will introduce new data streams from network devices into RedSeal’s analytics engine.
• Contribute to growth of RedSeal’s industry-leading network security analytics software while working with engineering leaders, architects and product managers.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience. • Networking knowledge/expertise is a must.
• Excellent understanding of firewalls, routers, switches.
• Working knowledge of XML and REST API.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, agile and nimble environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
• Network Certifications are also a huge plus:
o Cisco CCIE, CCNP, CCNA
o CheckPoint CCSE
o VMware VCP-NV (Network Virtualization)
o VMware NSX
o Juniper JNCP
